Hadrian's Wall

me and my dad went on a london double-decker bus trip all the way to the north-east of london. i'm going to the london eye, a giant observation wheel, and the london aquarium. oh yeah. and the london pub walk, where we try to visit every famed pub on the thames river. the london eye is on millenium pier, both beind tributes to the turn of the millenium in 2000. the aquarium is below the pier. with an enclosed walkway with fish in a giant tank all around you. very cool.

english poems

free verse

york minster cathedral
spiralling history
encased by ancient stone
domed roof, the heavens
endless above
with stories below...

triplets

the river tyne,
a shipping line,
lost in time.

haiku

on the roman wall
the soldiers marched, defended
a long time ago

cinquain

countryside
rolling, green
cultivating, growing, living
peaceful, tranquil, calm, buzzing
heaven
hi,guys. sorry i haven't written in a while; it's harder than it looks to find an internet cafe. i'm in york right now, after staying in newcastle for two nights. york is great, it's big enough to be called a city, but small enough that you can walk around the old city in half an hour. there's this great place in yhe city centre called the shambles. it's amn old medieval town, so the buildings are all saggy and hang over the already narrow street. pretty cool. see ya.

hey there. this one's about the big downers throughout th trip. #1: a hadn't slept for 30 hours straight. #2: i fell into a creek because my dad got a litle bit lost and it turned out i didn't actually have to try to jump 6 and a half feet to the other side and across barbed wire. there were three bridges 15 feet away. smooth, dad. #3: a forced march on the first day of walking for 12 and a half miles. my feet hurt like nobody's business.
