Only a week left until we fly Air Transat to Manchester, England. So starts the crusade across the rainy country. I hope the ash from that Icelandic volcano has settled by then. everybody cross your fingers!
My new backpack
We went to Mountain Equipment Co-op and got this giant monstrosity that will carry my worldly goods for the three week trip. I've filled it with clothes and stuff and I'm practicing carrying it around the neighbourhood to get used to the weight. In addition, we got hiking shoes and socks and a waterproof jacket for me because we might run into a bit of rain in the north of England - ya think?
